Title: Quicktime Streaming

Testing Your Configuration Before Event Day
quicktime logoYou can test that your computer is appropriately configured for QuickTime streaming by clicking the test movie to the right. If you can see the video and hear the audio then you will be able to watch both live and archived QuickTime streaming events. If you are unsuccessful in viewing the video and hearing the audio, please see our troubleshooting area below.

To watch a live or archived streaming video, you will need any recent Macintosh or Windows computer, which is connected to the Internet with a fast connection. Most every cable modem or DSL connection should work. You will also need the latest version of QuickTime installed (at least QuickTime 7 requirement is noted).

If you are having difficulties with the QuickTime stream, the trouble is usually one of four possibilities:
bullet Need newer QuickTime Player
bullet Need faster Internet Service Provider connection speed
bullet Need to set QuickTime Player's Preferences to higher connection speed
bullet Need to set their QuickTime Preferences to indicate HTTP (Port 80) advanced Streaming Transport

Click on the image above to test your QuickTime Player's ability to stream (requires DSL/cable modem or better). The movie will kick off your QuickTime Player application and after about 5 seconds of buffering, you should see and hear the test movie. You can Command or Control W to close.
