Training is What We Do:Workshops for Everyone

Technology is changing almost every way we teach and learn. It's hard to keep up.

That's why Academic Technology Services (ATS) has created the Center for Instructional Technology (formerly the Faculty Instructional Technology Lab) in the Learning Commons of the Blume Library. We offer scheduled workshops and one-to-one training sessions tailored to faculty, staff, and students. Check out our calendar of events below or download the full semester schedule on the right. You're bound to find a session that fits your interest and needs.

This Week: April 29-May 3

We welcome your attendance to this week’s instructional technology workshops:

PowerPoint: Creating Hyperlinks and Navigation Menus in Your Slides

Tuesday, April 30 from 9:45–11

Camtasia Relay: Flip Your Classroom with Video

Wednesday, May 1 from 12:30–1:45

Mobile Apps for Photos, Audio, and Video

Thursday, May 2 from 2–3:15

Our ATS workshops are held in the new Center for Instructional Technology in the Learning Commons (1st floor of the Blum Library across from Starbucks). Everyone is encouraged to come and no reservation is required. The workshops generally last an hour, but we schedule a little extra time for questions. Come and go as needed. If you have any questions, please contact Jeff Schomburg (jschomburg@stmarytx.edu) at 431-5073.

And as always, if you can't make one of the scheduled workshops just come over to the Center for Instructional Technology in the Learning Commons for a one-to-one session. If your department would like a group presentation, just let us know.

Think of us as your first stop when it comes to instructional technology. Our training lab has 12 Mac computers that run both Mac and Windows operating systems. Each computer also has the latest Adobe Design and Web Premium Creative Suite installed.
